Nitrous Oxide ("Laughing Gas")
This is a mild, breathable sedative that is inhaled through a small, comfortable mask placed over your nose. You will feel a sense of calm and well-being almost immediately. We can easily adjust the level of sedation throughout your procedure to ensure you remain comfortable at all times. The effects wear off just as quickly once the mask is removed, meaning you can safely drive yourself home after your appointment.
Oral Conscious Sedation
This is a deeper form of sedation for patients with moderate to severe anxiety. You will be prescribed a sedative pill to take about an hour before your appointment. By the time you arrive, you will be in a state of deep relaxation. You will remain conscious and able to communicate with our team, but you will be completely at ease and may have little to no memory of the procedure afterward. You will need a trusted friend or family member to drive you to and from your appointment.
